ANTI-WRINKLE TREATMENT
When looking to reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles, anti-wrinkle injections can produce very effective results. Infused with purified proteins, they work by blocking nerve signals in the muscles, when injected into specific areas of the face. The injections contain a naturally occurring neurotoxin, which helps to stop the muscle from over contracting and wrinkling the skin. Making it a fantastic treatment choice for temporarily reducing the appearance of a variety of lines and wrinkles, including frown lines, crow’s feet, bunny lines, necklines, marionette lines, nasal lines and eye wrinkles. Anti-wrinkle injections can effectively smooth the skin for a youthful and rejuvenated look.

This procedure involves precision injections of the naturally occurring neurotoxin, botulinum toxin type A, into the areas of concern and so should only be performed by a specialist Dermatologist or experienced Healthcare Professional Such as DR Naylea Choudry.
The anti-wrinkle treatment involves administering a precisely controlled amount of anti-wrinkle agent into the patient using a fine needle. An optional numbing cream is available should you need it, but the procedure is relatively pain-free, and many of our clients choose to have treatment free of anaesthetic.
Depending on the number of areas being treated in each session, an anti-wrinkle injection appointment can be completed in as little as 15 minutes.
Anti-wrinkle treatment injections last for three to six months depending on the client, with top up treatments available should they be required.
The best time to consider having anti-wrinkle injections is when you begin to notice that your dynamic lines (these are the wrinkles that only appear through expression) appear regardless of expression and form even when static. However, it differs from person to person, depending on genetic and lifestyle factors such as sun exposure, stress, cigarette smoking, and other environmental factors. Anti-wrinkle treatment works best at this stage, rather than with deeply etched lines, which are more difficult to smooth out.
Anti-wrinkle injections can be used to treat areas such as:
Frown lines – Forehead lines resulting from gathering of tissue between the eyebrows or fold, and caused by squinting and frowning.
Crow’s Feet – Fine lines that form around the eyes, typically caused by sun exposure and smoking.
Bunny Lines – Fine wrinkles that appear when you scrunch up your nose, such as when you smile or laugh.
Necklines – Necklines including horizontal ‘necklace lines’ and vertical ‘platysmal bands’ (Nefertiti Neck Lift) can be caused by everything from genetics and ageing to spending too much time looking down (i.e. at your phone).
Marionette Lines: Creases or folds that start at the outer corners of the mouth and run down to the outside edges of the chin. Marionette lines can be caused by various factors, including bone structure, skin type and the amount of fat and collagen in your face.
The longer you wait, the more invasive the treatments for wrinkles become, for example, dermal fillers are used when anti-wrinkle injections will not suffice.
Anti-wrinkle injections can stop migraines before they even start, with treatments recommended every twelve weeks for maximum effect. This treatment works by blocking the release of the neurotransmitters that are associated with pain, meaning that you no longer have to experience the severe pain of a migraine.
Anti-wrinkle injections can help with excessive sweating by blocking the signals that the body sends to stimulate sweat glands. It is injected into the skin, and the effects last for 3-6 months.
Anti-wrinkle injections can treat blushing of the face, neck and chest by blocking the signals between nerve cells that reach the skin and blood vessels. For those who suffer from anxiety and are embarrassed by their blushing, anti-wrinkle injections can bring back confidence and significantly improve quality of life by removing this concern altogether.
Anti-wrinkle injections can treat horizontal ‘necklace lines’ and vertical ‘platysmal bands’ in the neck with a treatment known as the Nefertiti Neck Lift, restoring a tighter and youthful appearance of the skin on the neck.
