Lips
The main cause of concern for lips is usually their lack of volume, which can be attributed to ageing or heredity. Full and sculpted lips are a desired feature, and their appearance can frequently assist define the entire aspect of the face. A more aesthetically pleasant characteristic can be created by having lips that are dewy and smooth, with the perfect ratio of top to bottom lip thickness.
The lips can vary with age, much like the rest of the face. Lips are particularly prone to wrinkle development since the skin there is thinner and more sensitive than other parts of the face. As collagen and elastin are lost with age, another common consequence is the development of little creases around the exterior of the mouth, also referred to as smokers’ lines or lip lines. As we age, our tissue density also diminishes, which causes our lips to lose their young fullness and become thin. Some people’s lips are naturally smaller, asymmetrical, or lack a well-defined cupid’s bow (the v shape at the centre of the top lip). When compared to the rest of the face, one can perceive that this particular portion of the face is not as well-balanced as it could be.
Dermal fillers are a useful tool for augmenting lips and giving them a more aesthetically attractive size and contour. This can therefore improve the lips’ outline and contouring and provide a more pronounced cupid’s bow. In order to look younger, dermal lip fillers are also a fantastic technique to smooth the skin around and around the mouth.
